Former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu  was a part of the Arsenal legends present  at the  send-off of  the  departing coach of the club Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium in London on Sunday.
Wenger, who announced last month that he would leave the  Premier League club at the end of the season, played his last home game in the Gunners’ 5-0 win over Burnley at the Emirates.
A  farewell event was organised for the 68-year-old with former and current Arsenal players and fans in attendance.
After giving his  farewell speech, the Frenchman went round greeting the fans and the former players  including  Kanu, who he gave a warm hug.
Wenger signed Kanu in February 1999 from Inter  Milan.  The former  Super Eagles midfielder, who spent five seasons at  Arsenal, was a part of the club’s 2003/04 season’s Invincibles  that won the last league title for the club.
The former African Footballer of the Year won  two Premier League and two FA Cup titles  with  Arsenal.
